Terramtech uses artificial intelligence (AI) to assist in evaluating candidate submissions as part of this assessment process. Your code submission and related activity will be analyzed in whole or in part by an automated system that scores performance across technical dimensions including, but not limited to, code architecture, correctness, efficiency, infrastructure design, security practices, testing methodology, and communication quality. The output of this AI evaluation may be used by Terramtech to inform hiring decisions, including whether to advance your application to the next stage of the process. The use of AI in this assessment does not replace human judgment. A member of the Terramtech team will review AI-generated evaluations before any final employment decision is made. To the extent required by applicable law, including the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you may have the right to request information about the logic involved in Terramtech's use of automated decision-making technology in connection with this assessment, as well as a description of the likely outcome of such processing with respect to you. This notice is provided to you at or before the point of collection of your personal data. By participating in this assessment, you acknowledge that Terramtech will collect and process the following categories of data (which may include "identifiers," "professional or employment-related information," and "internet or other electronic network activity information" as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act): • Code submissions — all code written, modified, or submitted during the assessment period; • Git activity — commit history, branching, and repository interaction logs; • Completion and timing data — timestamps, time-on-task, and session duration; • Behavioral and integrity data — activity patterns collected for the purpose of maintaining assessment integrity and detecting unauthorized assistance (anti-cheating detection). To the extent any data collected under this category constitutes "sensitive personal information" as defined under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Terramtech will use such data only as necessary for the purposes described in this notice and will not use or disclose it for purposes beyond those authorized under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.121. Purpose of Collection: This data is collected solely for the purpose of evaluating your technical skills and suitability for the role for which you have applied. It will not be used for any other commercial purpose without your separate consent. Retention: Your assessment data will be retained for a period of two (2) years from the date of the final employment decision relating to your application, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymized, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law. Third Parties: Assessment data may be processed by third-party service providers acting on behalf of Terramtech under appropriate data processing agreements. To verify your identity, Terramtech may request that you provide information sufficient to match your identity to data maintained in our systems; the specific information requested will depend on the nature of the request and the sensitivity of the data at issue. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf by providing the agent with written, signed authorization and by verifying your own identity directly with Terramtech, unless the agent provides a valid power of attorney. Terramtech does not offer financial incentives in connection with the collection of personal data under this assessment. Other State Residents: Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and other states with applicable privacy laws may have similar rights.
